Hello, my name is Juliet Eichen. I am 22 years old and have just completed an engineering degree atTelecom Paris. Recently I made the decision to travel for 12 months. I intend on living and working as a volunteer in different communities around the world. During my travels I will study the influence of different societies on the perception of happiness. I hope to return with many discoveries that I will share with you through a movie and photographs. Népal, Swayambudnath (suburb of Kathmandu)
My adventure begins here with my dear friend Alex. After some days spent in Delhi, we will go to Nepal. Here we will live in the children center created by the association Karya which fights against children trafficking. Karya works closely with the NGO Umbrella Fundation.
We will take part in the children’s daily life by helping them with their schoolwork and organizing activities.

The region of Peten is nucleus of the Maya culture. Here in the middle of the forest, full of spiders and snakes, I will live in the village of San Andres. I will stay with local people, give English classes and share their daily life..
Thailand, Roi Et : from the end of September to the end of November
After 2 weeks of walks and discoveries of the South with my friend Jeanne, I will visit this village which is situated in the North-East of the Isan region. Here my aim will be to experience cultural exchange: through agricultural work, education and eco-tourism, my goal is to share my culture and learn about the Isan culture.
Indonesia, Bali : 1st of December to Mid-February
During the 2 months spent here I will live in an IHF (International Humanity Foundation) children center, which fights for the education of underprivileged children. I will give English, mathematics and computing classes, and will also help with the administration of the center.
My parents will meet me there for 2 weeks of ...holidays!
Australia, South-East, mid-February to mid-May
I will land at Sydney, and stay with local people in exchange for agricultural work, through the organization WWOOF Australia.
I will travel From Sydney to Adelaide, visiting Kangaroo Island and Tasmania. My aim is to see as much as possible of the Australian culture in 3 months.
